Steel rise of Universal Studios Florida to attract future ‘villain’ minions

Over the past few months, we’ve been keeping you informed about the creation of a new villain scam at Universal Studios Florida. The new ride is reportedly based on the villain from the first solo movie, Minions.
Looking at the work ahead to bring in Minion’s Villain-Con, we can see that while progress is well under way, there is still a long way to go. Support has been added to the front, presumably for a new logo or other theme. The faded “Soundstage 4-D Universal Studios” is still visible on top of the building.
Previously, we only saw a row of beams erected on the left side (facing the building), now the right side has a similar set of corresponding beams at the entrance.
It’s unclear what the attractions of the new villain scam will be. Previous rumors have included trackless rides, walking rides, a combination of the two, or something entirely different. Reports most clearly point to a “transitional” combination, where guests travel around the attraction using moving walks.
Are you excited to see the appeal of villainous scams? Do you still miss Shrek 4-D? Let us know in the comments below and check out our detailed photo and video tours of attractions before they close.
